Betsy Garrety is a true Louisianan through and through, she is a graduate of LSU and has been known to bleed purple and gold. She started working at a young age with her local YMCA and was inspired when she watched people blossom when she worked with them; this was the gateway to realizing her passion for teaching and education.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, she dove into a career shaping young minds! She successfully taught the most complicated, and usually the least favorite, subjects to high school students: Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Her ability to reach students and inspire them to appreciate these topics has made her a celebrity, students often rush to her in public and profess their appreciation for the impact she made in their lives. Betsy didn\u2019t just teach her subject matter, she coached young adults with life skills, accountability and organization.<\/p>\n

Betsy begins each task with her objectives clearly defined and a purpose to be achieved. After 32 years she retired from the school system, but she wasn\u2019t ready to retire her commitment to helping others reach their full potential. Through working with her husband\u2019s CPA firm, she realized that her organizational and communication skills could help enhance business owner\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n

When the opportunity presented itself for her to join Ann Marie Erie in opening an accounting and bookkeeping firm that functions as a partner in people\u2019s business, she found her new purpose.<\/p>\n

Our mission is to provide comprehensive business services to companies regardless of their size. We will take the time to TEACH you the basics of your business so you can understand and organize your financial life. Our goal is to provide\u00a0 answers with resources to help your business thrive.<\/p>\n

Ann Marie Erie is a native of Louisiana who grew up working in her family\u2019s commercial construction business. If you would have said her passion would be business accounting and consulting back then, she would have emphatically denied it; but it turns out she this is the perfect career that empowers her to help people and positively impact their livelihoods.<\/p>\n

After college, her interests took her into Training and Development for a large non-profit in Wisconsin which was then expanded to a program in her hometown of Baton Rouge. Continuing her mission to make a difference in people\u2019s lives, she developed the Financial Education Program for a large community credit union where she was a certified financial planner and credit counselor. Her outreach included training for teachers in EBR Schools, the Habitat for Humanity program, and presenting at the annual financial literacy conference in Chicago.<\/p>\n

In 2013, a colleague recruited her for an opening with an accounting firm. The idea of providing financial education and support for business owners hit home for her. From this point forward she has dedicated herself to assisting business owners with the important but often overwhelming work of accounting and bookkeeping. After helping other accounting firms reach their potential, she made the leap to hang her own shingle with her partner Betsy Garrety.<\/p>\n

Our mission is to provide comprehensive accounting and bookkeeping services to companies regardless of their size. We strive to provide exceptional customer service and ensure business owners understand their financials. Our goal is to provide answers with resources to help businesses thrive.<\/p>\n
