VOICE DISORDERS<\/span>What is Voice Disorders?<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/h2><\/header>

A voice disorder happens when something goes wrong with the way we use our voice. This can make the voice sound different, like too loud, too soft, or not sounding like it usually does. Sometimes, voice problems happen after an injury or surgery, like when someone gets treatment for cancer. Other times, it might be because of problems with the parts inside our throat that help us speak, like the vocal cords. Voice disorders can be in two main types:<\/p>\n

Functional Voice Disorders:<\/strong> These happen when the voice gets tired or tight from using it too much or in the wrong way, even if there’s no obvious cause.<\/p>\n

Organic Voice Disorders:<\/strong> These happen because something physical, like lumps or nodules, is affecting the voice.<\/p>\n
