Booking and Reservations:

What is the maximum number of guests you accommodate?

We host up to 14 guests maximum. Keeping our groups small allows for flexibility, deeper connections, and a relaxed, intimate experience.

How many bedrooms and bathrooms are in the villa?

The villa features 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, offering comfort, privacy, and space for everyone to unwind.

Will American dollars be accepted?

No. American dollars are not accepted in Sicily. Euros are required.

How do we get euros while in Sicily?

The easiest and best way is to use a debit or credit card with a PIN at local ATMs, including those at post offices. This typically provides the best exchange rate.
Be sure your card does not carry international transaction fees.

Can we visit my hometown or ancestral village?

Yes. This is a special experience we are particularly proud to offer. Please discuss this with us before booking so we can help create a meaningful and rewarding visit.

Does the price include meals?

Yes. The price includes three meals per day

Does the price include alcohol?

Yes. Local wines are included.

Does the price include airfare?

No. Airfare varies depending on your departure city, route, and class of service.

How long is the flight?

Flight times vary, but the transatlantic portion is typically 8–10 hours, depending on where you depart.

Can children come on this trip?

Yes, with special arrangements. Because our trips are group-focused, all guests must agree to include children.

Accommodations and Amenities:

What type of accommodation is provided?

Guests stay in a luxurious 7-bedroom, 9-bathroom villa located in Alcamo Marina. Each room is a casual double with individual air-conditioning, European-style en-suite bathroom, and access to a rooftop terrace complete with a hot tub and a view of the sea.

Are meals included in the package?

Yes, three meals a day are included, featuring authentic Sicilian cuisine. You will also enjoy house wines and local specialties.

How far is the villa from the airport?

The villa is located about 20 miles (approximately 30 minutes) west of Palermo Airport, near Castellammare del Golfo.

How close is the villa to the beach?

We are about 50 yards from the sea—an easy, beautiful walk.

Is there a washer and dryer?

There is a small washer and traditional clotheslines for air drying.

Are hairdryers and flat irons available?

Yes. Hairdryers and flat irons are available in the villa.

Do I need electrical converters?

No. Electrical converters are provided in each room.

What kind of clothes should I bring?
Think lightweight, casual, and comfortable:
  • Good walking shoes
  • Casual outfits (shorts are acceptable almost everywhere)
  • A light jacket or sweater with a scarf
  • Bathing suit and cover-up
Most importantly—don’t overpack. Sicily is relaxed and stylishly casual.
What is the temperature like?
Sicily enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm days and mild evenings. Exact temperatures depend on the season, but most guests find the weather comfortable and inviting.

Is there a set itinerary?

No—and that’s intentional.

There is no fixed itinerary. We make suggestions based on the interests and desires of the group. We specialize in Western Sicily, focusing on destinations within about an hour’s drive, because our guests prefer enjoying the journey—not sitting in a car all day.

What places do you typically visit?

Destinations vary based on the group’s interests but often include coastal towns, villages, markets, wineries, historic sites, and local experiences throughout Western Sicily.

Do guests have input into the itinerary?

Absolutely.
That’s one of the best parts of traveling with Sicilian Adventures.

Can we do cooking classes?

Yes. Cooking experiences are a favorite—just let your host know.

Can we do wine tastings?

Yes. Sicily is renowned for its wines, and tastings can easily be arranged.

Is there shopping nearby?

Shopping is everywhere—from markets to boutiques. Just let your host know
what you’re interested in.

Safety and Support:

What if I need medical assistance during my trip?

Safety is our top priority. Nearby emergency clinics and major hospitals ensure medical aid is readily available. You also have direct access to the owners’ personal cell numbers at all times.

What if I have food allergies or dietary needs?

We can accommodate most dietary requirements. Please let us know before arrival so we can plan accordingly.

Is the trip handicap accessible?

Europe is generally less accessible than the U.S., but we have successfully hosted guests with varying mobility needs. We ask that you discuss any limitations with us in advance so we can determine the best possible experience.

Does everyone speak English?

No—but that’s part of the charm. Your hosts help bridge language and cultural gaps, and many guests find these interactions to be some of the most memorable moments of the trip.
